We will discuss ways we can all help each other as neighbors, things to look out for with suspicious activity, and different ways the police department can assist you. We will also provide fingerprinting kits for children and elderly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, which can be done at home or we will hold another event to complete them at a later date. With Summer approaching and the unusual state of our day to day living, more people are out and about, and people are starting vacations. This is a perfect opportunity to join law enforcement in maximizing your security as well as your neighbor’s. Hope to see you there!! A Coronavirus Self-Testing Drive Thru site is scheduled for tomorrow, May 28th, at the Houma Airbase Park on Moffet Road in Houma from Noon to 7PM to accommodate those who work during the day and wish to be tested. Additional Sites Scheduled: Friday, May 29 – Caldwell Middle School (Schriever) – 8AM-Noon Saturday, May 30 – Devon Keller Recreation Center – Gibson – 8AM to Noon Testing will be cancelled and not rescheduled for the particular site listed when severe weather is expected. The sites are open to all persons 18 years and older with a valid Louisiana Driver’s License or Louisiana ID. Individuals will be required to perform a nasal swab on themselves. You must remain in your vehicle, no appointment, physician referral or insurance is required. No additional test for symptoms is required and if you have symptoms or had symptoms the last few days but no longer have symptoms, you are still eligible for testing. The coronavirus self-testing drive thru site at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Bayou Dularge was closed today at 9:45AM due to rain. As a reminder, the Devon Keller Recreation Center site in Gibson for tomorrow will be cancelled due to the weather. This site will not be rescheduled.
